Tracey Cochrane is a business leader with a long career in the hospitality industry and for the last 10 years in technology. She has over 25 years of business expertise and is determined to take care of people who can't take care of themselves. Tracey is also an entrepreneur who is driven by the desire to change how patients, residents, nurses and the front line workers in our healthcare industry are kept safe. Her experience ranges from hotel ownership for 10 years, owning Points West Audio Visual & Acoustics for 8 years and now launching Carnelian Technologies.
Tracey’s past experiences with family members requiring more extensive levels of care inspired Tracey to develop safer, dignified and more efficient solutions for the healthcare industry. Countless hours of conversation and research with nurses and care workers helped her understand the challenges these individuals face every day. Her two daughters, husband, three cats and a dog keep her grounded and are her biggest fans.
Carnelian Technologies is the major sponsor of The Safety Den with SafeCare BC each year at the BC Care Providers Annual Conference. In addition to owning Carnelian Technologies and Points West Audio Visual & Acoustics, Tracey is an active volunteer in her community sitting on boards and various committees including Starbright Children’s Development Centre, BC Cancer Foundation Annual Discovery Luncheon, Arthritis Society, Girl Guides of Canada, many school-based organizations and junior sports such as Tae Kwon Do, skiing and curling.
